goals over a long period of time. You could be insane like a few people I know of here in Alberta and spend $2x,000 or even $3x,000 within one calendar year. Or you could moderate it to a more reasonable ~$3k-$5k per year, and just acknowledge you may not have that reliable 11-second track killer right NOW, but perhaps in a few years you'll get there. Try to enjoy what you have a step at a time so you can savour each moment. Going from stock to stage 1-2 to stage 3 to stage 5 to beyond was kinda fun. If you went from stock straight to 500rwhp+ (plus suspension & brakes, etc.) all in one shot I think a person would be missing out. (just an example, but you get the general idea).
